Televisions #1 comedy celebrates five seasons of funny with big laughs and hilarious new storylines. Charlie (Charlie Sheen) tops the charts as kiddie-song sensation Charlie Waffles. Alan (Jon Cryer) at last meets the perfect woman who just happens to be dating Charlie. Jake (Angus T. Jones) starts junior high, armed with reams of ?helpful? advice from Alan and Charlie. Evelyn (Holland Taylor) ties the knot for the fifth time (lots of guests at the wedding, lots of cops at the reception). And as always, Berta (Conchata Ferrell) deals with it all by dealing out a royal flush of deadpan zingers. The guys are in and the welcome mat is out at everyone's favorite Malibu beach house. Have a great time!

Our Review of Two And A Half Men S5
I admit, I was one of the people who said that this series would not last past its first four episodes. I was not thrilled with the original pilot, and did not watch it again until almost two years later, when it just happened to be in a time slot that was conducive to watching it. As anyone can tell you, I am busy doing a hundred things, and even if a show is excellent, I might never see it because I just do not have the time. And yes, I have heard of TiVo and DVR, but I am not the type of person who ever gets to watch the shows I have taped. I am a big fan of baseball, and a few years ago I asked my mother to tape 61 for me. I still have not seen it. I have the VHS tape in my collection and hopefully I still have a VHS player (right now it is a combined VHS/DVD player) since I am getting many things in DVD with a greater number of things coming in Blu-Ray. Okay back to the review -- Charlie Sheen is also big fan of baseball, this is a DVD of a series starring Sheen . . .
Once I was able to start watching the show regularly I had begun to enjoy it. Although I do not watch it religiously, I had watched it enough to see most episodes. It was always a great fall-back to most other garbage on the TV. I guess when I first saw the pilot, I did not see Sheen as being the character he was trying to portray (kind of like Tom Cruise in War of the Worlds), but either he started to meld more into the character or the writers began writing the character more for Sheen, they finally created a great balance that worked for the show. Not to talk up Sheen so much, because most of the laughs in the show are from Jon Cryer as well as one of my favorite characters of the show, Berta. The comic delivery and writing for these two characters is fantastic and is what provides this series with what gives it the "something" to last five plus seasons. Although the half man, Jake (played by Angus Jones) had played the cutesy part in the earlier seasons, the fifth season saw him take on some more meaty lines and situations like dealing with the pressures of Junior High School.
What is any DVD without a bonus feature? This DVD has a few of them, such as Two And A Half Men at 100, The Lore of Chuck Lorre: Must Pause TV (if you watch the series, you need to see this short), Two and A Half Men - Dying is Easy: Comedy is Hard (about the crossover episode with CSI), and after learning about how it was made, you can watch the episode, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - Two And A Half Deaths.
