Our Review

I grew up watching Tom and Jerry as a kid and it was quite interesting watching them again these many years later.  This DVD, Tom and Jerry Tales Vol. 2  has 12 new cartoons that were made for today's youth.  They were funny and a very entertaining.

These cartoons were "made for today's youth" and you can definitely notice a difference in the subject matter and the environment created around these two characters.  However, the same charm of their rivalry has not been diminished.  The writers keep the skits short and funny -- the same as is it always has been.  The big difference is in the amount of violence that is not prevalent in the new toons.  Whereas, the old Tom and Jerry episodes would include some sometimes very graphic violent picture, the new Tom and Jerry is more "kid friendly" and provides the tension between the mouse and cat without the blood and gore.
