1972 Shaquille O’Neal was born on March 6, 1972
to parents Lucille O'Neal and Joe Toney
(divorced). [His name, Shaquille Rashaun means
“little warrior” in Arabic.] Father left
Shaquille as an infant. Mother married Philip
Harrison (U.S. Army). He has two half-sisters
and a half-brother Lateefah, Ayesha and Jamal.
As a child, Shaquille was an army brat, going
with his family moving from base to base around
the world.

1989 He led his High School team to State
Championship (as a senior)

1990 He Attended Louisiana State University. In
1991, he won AP’s College Player of the Year
Award as a Sophomore. He was also voted
All-American in 1991 and 1992. He left LSU after
his third year.

1992 Signed by the Orlando Magic as the first
pick of the NBA draft.

1992-1993 Rookie of the Year and named to
NBA All-Rookie First Team (23.4 PPG)

Released his first Rap Album Shaq Diesel.
This is his first of four albums to date.
There is a rumor that because he is back in
Miami, he might sit down and record another
album.

appeared in his first movie, Blue Chips.
His went on appear or star in other subsequent
movies, including Kazaam (1996) and Steel
(1997).
