Clique Girlz Interview

Question: When did you guys realize that you wanted to sing together as a group?

 

Answer: We actually met at the water fountain at school and started having sleepovers, singing karaoke, and realized that we sounded great together. Then one day we were taping performances for some agents and decided that we wanted to perform together. After our performance, everyone was saying that we should be a group, and it really made sense so we became the Clique Girlz.

 

Question: Whose idea was it to take it to the next level and actually record a song?

 

Answer: It was our idea and our parents made it happen! They were so supportive.

 

Question: Who are the biggest influences on your music?

 

Answer: We look up to a lot of artists like Gwen Stefani, U2, Rolling Stones, and David Bowie... we love how unique they are and hope to follow in their footsteps.

 

Question: With your busy schedules, do you have time for regular school? How important is school to you?

 

Answer: Being the Clique Girlz takes a lot of work, rehearsal, and commitment, we actually are home-schooled online right now which is convenient for us because we are so busy. School is very important to us right now because we definitely want to pursue college.

 

Question: What was your most exciting live performance?

 

Answer: Our most exciting performance was opening for The Jonas Brothers and The Backstreet Boys.

 

Question: If you guys could record a song with any singer, band or group from today or years ago, who would you choose and why?

 

Answer: We would probably pick, one of our musical influences that we mentioned earlier. We are huge fans and that would be a dream come true!

 

Question: What would be the perfect day to each of you?

 

Answers:

• Paris- My perfect day would be on vacation somewhere in the Caribbean! LOL!

•  Destinee- Going to the beach with my friends and having fun!

•  Ariel- Being on the beach and having fun too!

Question: What kind of hobbies do you have outside of music?

 

Answers:

• Paris- My other hobbies are writing, anything from song-writing to journalism. I love Dancing, I also like designing fashion, and homes (which is weird for my age) lol! I even have a passion for cooking, I am always creating unique recipes!

• Destinee- My other hobbies are rocking out on my guitar, writing music, and designing fashion.

• Ariel- My other hobbies are Dancing, designing fashion, and reading!

Question: How did you come up with the name "Clique Girlz"?

 

Answers: Actually what happened was, when we decided we wanted to be a group, we had a sleepover and our mom (Destinee & Paris' Mom) was writing down names because she said if this is what we want to do then we need a name! So we searched through all the names and my Dad had circled "Clique" and we added Girlz and here we are! Haha!

 

Question: What do you think separates your group from all of the other young music acts that are out there?

 

Answer: Our signature three part harmonies.

 

Question: If each of you were on a deserted island and only had three albums to listen to, what would each of you pick?

 

Answer: I think we would all pick the latest compilation albums so we would have a variety of music!
