The N Kicks Off New Episodes of Degrassi With A Valentine's Day Special(2/13)

FRIDAY NIGHTS SIZZLE ON THE N AS THE TEEN NETWORK KICKS OFF NEW EPISODES OF DEGRASSI WITH A NEW, HOUR-LONG VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL, “LOST IN LOVE” ON FEB. 13 AT 8:00 P.M. (ET)
The Hit Teen Series Returns with Proposals, Drug Abuse and New Rivalries as Additional New Episodes Roll Out Every Friday Night at 8:00 pm. (ET) Beginning Feb. 20
NEW YORK, Feb. 9, 2009 – The N celebrates Valentine’s Day Degrassi style with crushes, heartbreaks and a marriage proposal on the new hour-long premiere “Lost in Love,” on Friday, Feb. 13, at 8:00 p.m. (ET). Following the Valentine’s Day special, the teen network will unveil a brand new episode of the provocative teen drama every Friday night at 8:00 p.m. (ET) from Friday, Feb. 20 through Friday, March 6.
Friday, Feb. 13, at 8:00 p.m. (ET) – Degrassi: The Next Generation “Lost in Love” In “Lost in Love,” Spinner and Jane think they have it all figured out for next year – she’ll start pre-law and he’ll attend police college. But when Spinner doesn’t get into school, he lies to avoid telling her the truth, and it costs him the girl he loves. Desperate to win Jane back, Spinner pulls out all the stops, but she’s starting to wonder if her future includes him. Meanwhile back at Degrassi, tensions arise when Clare gets invited to the sweetheart dance by both K.C. and Connor. When their struggle for her attention jeopardizes their friendship, Clare is forced to make a decision, but will it be the right one? And at Smithdale, roommates Kelly and Emma finally admit they have feelings for each other and agree to go out on a date, but when Kelly’s ex-girlfriend comes back into the picture, Emma questions if she still has a chance.
Friday, Feb. 20, at 8:00 p.m. (ET), Degrassi: The Next Generation “Bad Medicine” Riley is keeping some serious secrets, and he's willing to use anything and anyone to maintain his masculine image. Meanwhile, Danny and Derek both have it bad for Leia, but will following their hearts destroy their friendship?
Friday, Feb. 27, at 8:00 p.m. (ET), Degrassi: The Next Generation “Causing a Commotion” Connor receives unfair treatment at school, so Clare starts a protest and makes a new enemy – with the school principal. Sav tries to win Anya back by inviting her over for dinner, but his parents make it clear she's not welcome.
Friday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m. (ET) - Degrassi: The Next Generation “Heat of the Moment” Pushed to the edge by Holly J., Alli starts an online group called "I Hate Holly J." and she and the site become the center of attention at Degrassi. Meanwhile, Peter reluctantly agrees to babysit his half-sister, but the new responsibility gets old fast.
Degrassi: The Next Generation, winner of both a Television Critics Association Award and two Teen Choice Summer Series Awards, is a fictional, dramatic series that tackles tough issues in a realistic way. Degrassi explores an interesting group adolescents and young adults going through the trials and tribulations at Degrassi Community School and beyond. The series follows Holly J (Charlotte Arnold), Mia (Nina Dobrev), Sav (Raymond Ablack), Anya (Samantha Munro), Scott Paterson (Johnny), Danny (Dalmar Abuzeid) and Peter (Jamie Johnston) as they journey through high school. Season Eight introduces a new group of “niners” into the gifted program taught by Mr. Simpson (Stefan Brogren) including Clare (Aislinn Paul), Sav’s sister Alli (Melinda Shankar), KC (Sam Earle) and Connor (A.J. Saudin). Also sit along for the season are alumni Emma (Miriam McDonald), Manny (Cassie Steele), Liberty (Sarah Barrable-Tishauer), Spinner (Shane Kippel), and Jay (Mike Lobel) as they experience life post Degrassi.
Degrassi: The Next Generation is produced by Epitome Pictures in association with CTV. The series was co-created by Linda Schuyler, co-producer of the original Degrassi series, and Yan Moore. Schuyler and Stephen Stohn serve as Executive Producers. Season Eight Executive Producer is Sara Snow.
