Britney Spears Has Breakdown - Loses Custody of Kids - Dr. Phil Comes to the Rescue

Last night Kevin Federline sent someone over to pick up his two children (Sean (2) and Jayden (1)) from Britney Spears home. Spears had temporary visitation of the children with a court appointed monitor. The monitor brought out Sean, then when she went into get Jayden, Spears, who was reported to be intoxicated, had locked herself with Jayden in a room. After three hours, with police waiting outside the door, she came out. The police took her on a gourney to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Due to this incident, a court commissioner has removed her visitation rights with the children, giving sole custody to K-Fed. The court will review the case and discuss the welfare of the children on January 14th.
TV psychiatrist Dr. Phil, went to visit with Britney and they talked for an hour before her release. He then walked her to her car, and stated that "he was very concerned for her." Editorial [The following opinion is my own and may not be the opinion of Pop Stars Plus or any affiliated organizations]: In the never ending media story of the life that is Britney Spears, she has provided yet more fodder for the paparazzi. At this point it is just sad. I feel bad for her, her family and those children. She was a good looking young woman, on top of the music charts, making mounds of money, yet she has become a mockery by the media, the public and worst of all even her old fans. How does one fall from grace so fast and so hard? We saw it a few years ago from Michael Jackson, but this situation is far more serious because there are young children being affected. Dr. Phil may not have been the first psychiatrist I would have called, but at least she is getting the help she needs. When she went for rehab, it was for substance abuse, however, if someone is going to be abusing alcohol or drugs, there is usually a deeper psychological problem that is causing it in the first place. Maybe Dr. Phil will get to the root of the problem (and what a great PR opportunity for him). Then maybe he needs to next move on to Jamie Lynn Spears (her sister). I am not so blind to think that 16 year olds do not have sex (statistics say that many do), but a girl in her position should know that she needs to use birth control. Although a being "moral" is probably not in a standard contract for a celebrity, a celebrity has a responsibility to their fans to do set an example -- especially when the fans are teens and pre-teens. Her character on Zoey 101 would never even think about having a baby as an unwed teenager, but most of us are not so naive to think that the character one portrays on TV is not the same as the person themselves. However, to a young teen or pre-teen, the actress and the role are one and the same. The big winner here, if you can call it that, is the father -- a 19 year old pipe-layer named Casey Aldridge, who went from rags to riches in a matter of minutes. There are now rumors that the final season of Zoey 101 may be cancelled (even though it has already been filmed).
