Richard Gere Accused of Indecent Act With Bollywood Actress Shilpa Shetty

Actor Richard Gere (best known for such movies as ‘An Officer and A Gentlemen”) has been charged with indecent charges with Indian Actress Shilpa Shetty .  While attending an AIDs awareness event Richard kissed Shilpa.  The charges stem from the fact that  India has strict obscenity laws, where public displays of affection are not allowed.  Gere has since left India, but he has issued an apology for his actions as it was not his intent to offend anyone.  It is unclear if the charges will stick - but for now the case has been suspended.. {Reported by Jaeh-D}
