Hi everyone!

'Tis the season, and Christine Evans is busy as ever! Here is what is what she has been up to the past few weeks:

"I am finally finished with my first semester of school and am on break for Christmas holiday! My plan was to go to Seattle for the first week to record some new songs that I've been working on for the US release of Push, but Mother Nature had other plans. There was a huge storm the first couple of days that I was home and a very large portion of Seattle lost power, including the studio that I record in! I was pretty bummed at the time, but there is always a bright side to everything! We had to reschedule for January 5th and 6th which means I guess I'll just have to miss a couple extra days of school to record. Oh shucks. I am very excited about these songs though, in particular, one that I wrote on piano in about 2 hours, with the working title "It's Up To You." There might even be the possibility of putting some serious strings on the track as well. Hallelujah!

Following up on my last recording of "Don't Laugh at Me", it looks like I might be shooting a video for it sometime soon as well. I really hope that this song will connect with kids and that it will be a helpful addition to Operation Respect.

So my family is finally reunited for the holiday season in Victoria, BC, and tonight we finally put up our Christmas tree! Christmas traditions for us include sugar cube castles, pecan rolls on Christmas morning, buying stockings for our dogs, and listening to John Denver. I'm pretty excited to be singing with some friends at an inter-church worship service on Christmas Eve as well.

So I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas filled with fun amidst friends and family, relaxation, laughter, good health, and the remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ. This is a joyous time of year, so let's celebrate!"
