Michael Richards Can't Shake Racist Remarks Despite Many Apologies

In the matter of one week, one of televisions most loved actors has received a black eye (of his own doing) and has not been able to recover. A week ago, Michael Richards called two hecklers in the audience of his stand-up routine racially unacceptable words. The backlash has been brutal from all segments of society including people vowing never to watch Seinfeld again because of it. Since that time Richards has appeared on television making public apologies and has even appeared on Jesse Jackson's radio show to apologize again. He said that he has never said anything like that before and did not mean what he said - he only said it out of anger at the time the incident occurred. This event will probably follow Richards around for a long while.
