Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Are Married

After a year and a half engagement, the celebrity couple of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married this past Saturday at the Odescalchi castle in Italy. However, it was revealed that the couple actually had an “official” civil ceremony days before in Los Angeles. Italy does not recognize the Scientology ceremony, so the couple needed to perform a civil ceremony first.
The affair was a star-studded event and included such guests as Brooke Shields, Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Carrey, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and David and Victoria Beckham. Because of the tight security and the design of the castle, the media was unable to see any of the actual wedding event. The couple is allegedly honeymooning in the Maldives. {Reported by Ian Ripley}
