Italian Mayor
Imposes $1500 “Paparazzi” Tax on Photographs Taken for Tom Cruise and Katie
Holmes Wedding
Wednesday,
November 15, 2006
It is no secret that
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are going
to be married in Bracciano, Italy, specifically in Castle Odescalchi.
Papparazzis, journalists and film crews have made arrangements in local inns and
homes to get the best pictures of the castle. There may be one more catch to
taking pictures of the wedding events -- a $1500 tax. Allegedly, the mayor of
the town has placed this tax on pictures taken of the castle and the wedding
proceedings for Cruise and Holmes. {Reported by Ian Ripley}
