Jack Palance: Oscar Winner, City Slicker and Western Bad Guy Dies at 87

Jack Palance has died of natural causes in his home in Montecito, California.  Jack Palance has appeared in many films over his career and many of them as the hard-nosed bad guy in Western movies including unforgettable roles in Shane and Sudden Fear.  However, his most memorable role was in a comedy where he parodies those roles in the comedic movie City Slickers starring Billy Crystal.  For this role he received an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.  He had been acting in film for over forty years beginning in 1950 in the movie Panic In The Streets.  We wish his friends and family our warmest thoughts.
