Paramount Decides Not To Keep Cruise

After a fourteen-year relationship between actor
Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures, Paramount (who is owned by Viacom) has
decided not to re-sign Cruise for future movie releases. Cruise has starred in
mega-blockbusters for Paramount including Top Gun, Days of Thunder
and the Mission Impossible movie and sequels. Summer Redstone, the
chairman of Paramount Pictures said that Cruise was a fine actor, but “His
recent conduct has not been acceptable to Paramount.”
