Mel Gibson Pleads No Contest

Although the media has paid attention to the anti-Semitic remarks made during and after the arrest, Mel Gibson was arrested and appeared in court.  Instead of waiting for his September 28^th court date, he pleaded no contest to the charge of drinking under the influence (DUI).  In return, Gibson did not go to jail, but received three years of probation, paid a find of $1600, and has to attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings. {Reported by Ian Ripley}
