Barry Bonds Surpasses Ruth on Home Run List with 715

Barry Bonds hit his 715th home run on Sunday, May 28th to surpass Babe Ruth on the career all-time home run list.  This places him second on the all time list, trailing Hank Aaron who finished his career with 755 dingers.  The homer came in the fourth inning against the Colorado Rockies while in his home ballpark in San Francisco.  He connected with a 3-2 pitch from Byung-Hyun Kim and knocked the ball over the center field wall into a concession area [note: a San Francisco local who was going to get some food finally caught the ball after it bounced around a bit in the concession area.]  Bonds, also the holder of the single season home run record of 73 homers, has been under much scrutiny over the last few years due to accusation of steroid use which Bonds vehemently denies.
