Hello.  I am going to ask you a few questions.  I will try not to ask you the same questions as everyone else has - but it might not be easy.
 
PopStarsPlus (PSP): From what I have read, you have been "writing and composing" music since you were eight years old. What kind of musical influences did you have at such a young age? 

Teddy Geiger (TG): WELL I REMEMBER MY FIRST PIECE OF MUSIC I EVER OWNED WAS A WEEZER CASSETTE (REMEMBER THEM?) THAT I BORROWED FROM MY COUSIN, TORRE I THINK I SAW IT IN HIS ROOM AND UNKNOWINGLY ASKED HIM I IF I COULD BORROW IT, AND THEN FROM THERE I GOT REALLY INTO BEN FOLDS FIVE AND BUYING RECORDS, ETC.
 
PSP: Did you inherit your musical talents from someone in your family? If yes, who?

TG: MY TWO GRANDFATHERS--ONE PLAYED TROMBONE AND THE OTHER PLAYS PIANO AND ARRANGES MUSIC.   MY PARENTS, THOUGH, HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT MUSIC.
 
PSP: What person (outside of music) has influenced you the most in life and how?

TG: I WOULD HAVE TO SAY MY COUSIN TORRE; HE'S BEEN A BIG BROTHER TO ME AND I AM THE OLDEST IN MY FAMILY.  TORRE HAS ALWAYS SHOWN ME THE ROPES OF STUFF.
 
PSP: What or who has influenced your music? 

TG: BEN FOLDS, MY GRANDFATHERS, JOHN MAYER, JASON MRAZ, DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL, SOMETHING CORPORATE

PSP: Is it the same influence for your writing lyrics and composing? 

TG: YES
 
PSP: Do you compose music to lyrics you have written or do you write the words to fit the music?

TG: I DO BOTH.
 

PSP: What is the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you? 

TG: YOU HAVE TO DARE TO SUCK.  DARE TO FALL ON YOUR FACE AND GET BACK UP AND LAUGH. 
 
PSP: Congratulations on finishing up your recent tour with Hilary Duff.

TG: THANK YOU

PSP: What was the best part of touring

TG: PROBABLY BEING ABLE TO GET UP EVERY OTHER NIGHT AND PERFORM AND KIND OF HAVING THAT TIME TO PLAY LIVE TO A LARGE AUDIENCE.

PSP: What was the worst part

TG: BEING AWAY FROM MY FRIENDS

PSP: When you become the headliner, would you change anything in the way you would do your own tour?

TG: I WANT LOTS OF FIRE ...OKAY..JUST JOKING....
 
PSP: Speaking about touring, what is your feeling on the price of concert tickets?

TG: PLEASE BRING YOUR FRIENDS.  IT'S NEVER BEEN AN ISSUE FOR ME.  HOPEFULLY ONE DAY.
 
PSP: People have compared your sound to John Mayer and your combination of good looks & upcoming dual music/tv career to Jesse McCartney, but who do you compare yourself with and why?

TG: I'M JUST...ME.  
 
PSP: It is good to hear that you have done a lot of things for charity such as donated your battle of the band's prize winnings to tsunami relief and performed at a benefit concert for the victims of Katrina. There are a lot of people out there that think you will make it big.  So when, not if, you do, what kind of impact do you see yourself having on helping people?

TG: I KNOW I WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF I GET TO HAVE A LARGER AUDIENCE.  I'M NOT SURE WHAT CAUSE WILL BE "MY CAUSE," BUT I KNOW THAT HELPING OTHER PEOPLE GIVES YOU THE GREATEST RUSH.
 
PSP: What kind of music do you usually listen to when you are at home or relaxing?

TG: RIGHT NOW, JACK'S MANNEQUIN
 
PSP: What is on your CD/MP3 player right now?

TG: JACK'S MANNEQUIN, BEN FOLDS, MAE, FACES ON FILM, DIRTIE BLONDE
 
PSP: A local rock DJ made a statement that most of today's new music is nothing but junk.  What do you feel about that statement -  why?

TG: NO, THEN HE ISN'T LISTENING TO WHAT'S GOING ON AND WHAT IS HAPPENING ONLINE AND HOW LISTENERS HAVE MORE CONTROL. 
 
PSP: A lot of girls out there want to know the answer to this: What do you look for in a girl you would like to date? 

TG: I LIKE A GIRL WHO IS CONFIDENT AND DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THE "HOTTEST" GIRL ON EARTH LOOKSWISE, BUT SHE HAS TO HAVE AN OPINION, BE FUNNY AND HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND CONFIDENCE
 
PSP: Are any of the songs in your upcoming album, Underage Thinking, written about any girl in particular?

TG: YEAH, ALL OF MY SONGS FROM LIFE EXPERIENCE. "FOR YOU I WILL - CONFIDENCE" (THE FIRST SINGLE) IS ABOUT FEAR OF BEING REJECTED BUT TRYING ANYWAY.  THE GIRL I WROTE THAT ABOUT LIVES DOWN THE STREET FROM ME.  SHE BLEW ME OFF IN 8TH GRADE.
 
PSP: How did you come up with the name of the album?

TG: SOME KIDS REBEL AND EXPRESS THEMSELVES BY ACTING OUT OR BEING DESTRUCTIVE AND I GUESS I FEEL LIKE I REBEL IN MY MIND WITH MUSIC. 
 
PSP: What is your favorite:

PSP: What hobbies do you have besides music?

TG: SLEEPING, EATING.
 
PSP: In many years from now, when you are all done with "the business," what would you like to be remembered for?

TG: GOOD MUSIC.
 
PSP: Can I come back in a couple of years and do another interview with you after you have made it big? 

TG: SURE...JUST TALK TO ONE OF MY 5 ASSISTANTS.... (YEAH, OF COURSE!)
