Review of There's Something About Ashley: The Story of Headstrong
In the first few minutes of the DVD, you learn a few things about Asthley Tisdale, and the album.  For instance, when she was brainstorming for an album title, someone came up with name "Headstrong" and bam -- she knew it was right. It was the perfect name that described her album, and the singer/actress herself.  Even at her young age, she has taken on life head on, charging her way into becoming a star of stage in the hit TV show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as well as the made for TV mega-movies High School Musical and High School Musical 2.  She brought that same force with her in the making of her smash debut album Headstrong.   The DVD goes back and forth between the documentary of her making the album and its music videos, to three of the songs on the album.  It shows everything from the songwriting of the abum all the way through its release.  Along the way we get glimpes into Ashley's life, including going with her backstage on last summers sensational High School Musical tour.  The three music videos on this DVD include "He Said, She Said," "Not Like That" and "Suddenly" which were all directed by Scott S.   It is a very entertaining rockumentary about a very talented young woman who is will be heading into the mainstream in the next few years.  She can act, she can sing, she can do just about anything it seems, and this DVD shows just that.  This DVD is for the young music fan, the fan of Ms. Tisdale or of High School Musical.   Click here for her blog leading up to the November 13th launch of the DVD
