A obnoxious head of a sorority of "good looking" girls played by Paris Hilton abuses her pledge class of geeks, chubbys and nerds.
Review of National Lampoon's Pledge This
To coin a phrase used unrelentlessly by the "star" of the movie, Paris Hilton, this movie is "hot."  This is one of those fun loving teen movies full of sex, sexual innuendos and more sex and not to mention jokes about sex.  This movie will never be even considered for an Oscar nomination - however, neither were Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Animal House, Porkys, American Pie and a host of other fraternity/sorority type movies.  Although I did enjoy the movie, and found it entertaining, it did not live up to the standards of these aforementioned movies, but it was far from being thrown in the circular file.   The storyline was straight forward, but did have a few sub-plots to give the movie some depth.  The characters were also interesting, however, it did lack character development of the cast beyond Paris's character, Victoria English.  A little more about the heroine of the movie Gloria (Paula Garces) and a lot more about her nemesis Kristen would have only added to the movie.   If you enjoy movies in this genre, it is worth watching - if you are over 18, I would recommend the "naughty version" to get those previously deleted scenes.  No, you do not see Paris Hilton nude, but there is a lot of other hanky panky that goes on  on the screen.  If you are sensitive of these movies, or do not like mindless fun, then pass this one up.  But if you like these types of movies, get your copy today.
