The hardest part of reviewing a movie that has been remade from an old classic is that it becomes almost impossible not to compare the two movies, even subconsciously.   I have seen the original move many times over the year (and I remember it always being on TV every few months on Saturday afternoons throuthout the 70s -- usually after Creature Feature).
