 America’s

Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, and Monique Coleman) are back for their exciting
final year at East High. Director Kenny Ortega pulls out all the stops
with incredible new music and exhilarating dance numbers that will blow
away devoted franchise fans and newcomers alike. And, now viewers can
see the movie like never before, with the all-new 3-disc Deluxe Extended
Edition which features the never before seen extended movie on both DVD
and Blu-ray disc – in one set! Plus, this Deluxe set also includes
DisneyFile digital copy, and exclusive bonus features such as deleted
scenes, bloopers and much more.
Amidst a basketball championship, prom and the big spring musical
featuring all the Wildcats, Troy and Gabriella vow to make every moment
count, as their lifelong college dreams put the future of their
relationship in question. Reprising their roles as fellow Wildcats and
devoted friends, from the first two Disney Channel Original Movies, are
Olesya Rulin, Chris Warren Jr., Ryne Sanborn, Casey Stroh, Bart Johnson
and Alyson Reed. Plus, meet the new crew of sophomore Wildcats (Matt

Review of High School Musical 3: Senior Year

The
Wildcats are finally graduating from High School. It was only a few
short years ago when we were first introduced to Troy and Gabriella and
the rest of their on-screen classmates. From what was just another
made-for-TV movie became a smash hit with two spin-off movies, hit
soundtracks and millions of different marketing items. Well, this
review is for the third of these movies: High School Musical 3:
Senior Year.
After getting to "know" the characters from the prior
movies, there was some attachment to them. So it was kind of sad to know
that this is (or could be) the final movie with the Wildcat crew.
I think that it is this "familiarity" with the thee characters that have
made the third movie a little more meaningful than the first.
There were also some emotional moments during this movie as the seniors
contemplate their futures after graduation -- which allowed the screen
writer, as well as the actors expand their talents from the prior
movies. Kenny Ortega did a quality job Directing this movie, as he
had the previous two -- as you would expect from anything that has the
Disney name associated with it.
Besides the movie itself, the Blu-Ray disk we
reviewed was the "deluxe extended edition" and includes a ton and a half
of extra bonus features -- the most important being an extended version
with additional scences of the movie that were not originally seen on
TV. This edition, also includes the DVD of the extended edition
which is also a nice add (for me, I only have one Blu-Ray, while most
TVs have a DVD/VHS combo player). There is also a digital
copy of the movie that comes with this edition. Lastly, on there
are actual bonus features, such as goodbye's from the cast, deleted
scenes, bloopers, photos, senior awards, updated profiles of the cast,
and more. There is not much more that you could want with this
edition - it has it all. |
