- Prince Frederick von Anhalt is
known as the ninth husband of Hungarian born actress
Zsa Zsa Gabor, and more
recently as claiming to be the father of
Anna Nicole Smith's
daughter Dannie Lynn Hope.
- Anhalt was born either Hans Robert
Lichtenberg or possibly Hans-Georg Lichtenberg in Germany sometime
in the late 1940s (perhaps 1945 or 1948). He was "adopted" by
the Princess of Anhalt in 1980 (as part of a money making scheme)
and became Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt or simply Frederick von Anhalt.
- He married actress Zsa Zsa Gabor in
1986 and was her ninth husband (although only technically the
eighth, because her marriage to Michael O'Hara was never legally
dissolved before marrying Felipe de Alba).
- A day after the death of Smith,
Frederick von Anhalt claimed that the her daughter was his own and
the product of a decade long affair. He threatened to file
suit if the courts Dannie Lynn Hope was given over to either of the
other two men claiming paternity:
Howard K. Stern (Smiths
former attorney) or Larry
Birkhead (photojournalist).
