• Paris Hilton was born on February 17, 1981 to Kathy Richards (former actress) and Rick Hilton (Hilton Hotels).  She has one sister, Nicky and two younger brothers.  She attended the Canterbury boarding school in Connecticut for a semester, then transferred to the Dwight School in New York before dropping out altogether.

•  Engaged for a short while to Jason Shaw (model & actor)

•  Her rise to fame came via an "unofficial" release of a sex tape with herself and former boyfriend Rick Salomon in October of 2003.

•  Her increasing popularity also coincided with her role on the TV reality show Simple Life with Nicole Richie, which became a huge success. For her role on the show, she was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice Reality/Variety TV Star – Female.

•  In 2004 she was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Personality.

• Paris moved into a house with her boyfriend Paris Latsis in May 2005, but is still paying rent for her old pad, where all of her almost 100 pets still live. They were engaged in early 2005, but the couple has been rumored to have split up.

• Paris and Nicole Richie have had a spat and are currently not talking to each other.  Although Paris and Nicole are not friendly, they will both appeared on yet another season of Simple Life in 2006, although all of their scenes were shot separately.

• Paris has moved her way into the world of music and has released her first single "Stars Are Blind" off her self-titled debut album Paris Hilton. [click here to hear the single] and the album was released in August 2006.

• It seems that as of August 2006, Paris and Stavros are back on again as a couple.

• Paris was pulled over and arrested for DUI in September 2006 after cops stopped her for speeding.  She said she was going fast because she was hungry and was hurrying to get a burger.  On September 26th, she was officially charged with drinking under the influence in an Los Angeles courtroom.

• Paris Hilton and Nicole Riche have reconciled (Oct. 2006) their differences and are friends again.

• In February 2007 Paris was given three years probation and a small fine for her DUI infraction from the previous September.  Then on March 2, 2007, Paris is pulled over again by law enforcement driving with a suspended license.
