Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection

Volume 4 DVD now available

That's right, go ahead and laugh at them. The silliness picks up where it never left off in Vol. 4 of the Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection, more classic animated shorts from the Warner Bros. vaults -- all fully remastered and uncut. Two discs. Twenty eight cartoons. Plus certifiably Looney extras. On Disc 1 were talking lots of hare, yes it's Bugs as only Bugs can be (including 1958's Oscar-winning Best Cartoon Short Subject Knighty Knight Bugs) and you'll tawt you taw a puddy tat and more with Disc 2's Cat antics. Episodes: 1 - BUGS BUNNY, ROMAN LEGION-HARE; THE GREY HOUNDED HARE; RABBIT HOOD; OPERATION: RABBIT, KNIGHT-MARE HARE; MISSISSIPPI HARE; HURDY-GURDY HARE; FORWARD MARCH HARE; SAHARA HARE; BARBARY-COAST BUNNY; TO, HARE IS HUMAN; 8 BALL BUNNY; KNIGHTY KNIGHT BUGS; RABBIT, ROMEO, 2 - CATS, THE NIGHT WATCHMAN; CONRAD THE SAILOR; THE ARISTO-CAT; DOUGH RAY ME-OW; PIZZICATO PUSSYCAT; KISS ME CAT, CAT FEUD; THE UNEXPECTED PEST; GO FLY A KIT; KIDDIN? THE, KITTEN; A PECK OF TROUBLE; MOUSE AND GARDEN; PORKY'S POOR, FISH; SWALLOW THE LEADER.

Review of Spotlight Collection Volume 4

This is another one of those DVDs that are great for those days that you don't know what to watch, or just want a little humor. There are twenty-eight animated shorts on this two DVD set.  The first DVD has one of my all time favorite characters - Bugs Bunny.  As a kid, I loved his character, even if I really did not understand the adult level of comedy he was providing, but I did understand the humor on a child's level. As I got older, I began to understand the subtle comments and satires brought about by the writers. Another thing I love about the Bugs Bunny shorts is his timeless quality.  Even though the cartoons make mention to events that occurred decades ago, it still has some truth today.

The second DVD includes shorts regarding the felines of Looney Tones, highlighting Sylvester (of course), but also includes Pussyfoot and Dodsworth - two of the other less known cats.  They are just as good as some of the Bugs Bunny shorts, but still, not Bugs.

The DVD set does include a special feature, Wrong Turn At Albuquerque, that features highlights of Bugs Bunny's travels to other countries.  As a FYI, did you know that Bugs Bunny has visited all seven continents in his travels over the years?

A great CD to watch, to be part of your own DVD collection, as well as a gift for upcoming holiday season.
