Although there are some really good title tracks on the album such as "Hold the Door" and "Chemicals" (a really great song), there are a number of tracks that are fairly turbulent.  After listening to the album the first time through, I could not remember which songs I had listened to, since a few sounded extremely similar.  I do not mind when a band maintains a specific sound, but (for instance) the first three songs almost seem to have been cut from the same pie.  In subsequent listening, I did listen with additional scrutiny and did find the differentiations between the tracks, but none really got to me.

The later part of the album was more enjoyable than the first, and seemed to have been included better lyrics, vocals, instrumentals and mixing/producing.  The album had its ups and downs, and I did expect more out of their latest album, but now that I have selected the ones I like, I no longer have to listen to those I do not want to hear.  I'll consider this as a small offering from the band that has brought in some really good hits on the indie circuit from their first two albums, but I do expect a lot more for their next one.
