No Really, I'm Fine (2007)

The Spill Canvas

Label

Review of Sample No Really, I'm Fine

The "band" was initially Nick Thomas who sung, wrote & performed on the first album Sunsets and Car Crashes back in '04, but since 95, The Spill Canvas has added a few new members, but a bunch of them did not stick around very long.  So, the title to the album might be telling us that Nick and Co. are okay.  The proof, as they say, is in the pudding.  Will the album measure up to any hype surrounding it?

From note number one through the end of the album, this CD rates high on my awesome music meter.  They just have the right combination of sound and lyrics that caught my senses in "Reckless Abandonment" and did not let it go until "Lullabye." The album may not be in the category of the Nevermind or Sgt. Peppers,  but it is one that does rank a notch or two below.  This is an album that could bring The Spill Canvas into the national spotlight.  If not, we still have their music.

There is so much I can say about the album, but limit it to this -- It's great.
