I Still Have a Pony (2007)
Steven Wright
Comedy Central Records |
Review of I Still Have a Pony
|
This album was enjoyable right off the bat. Starting from the first joke,
this album is funny. Wright is one of those guys that are just funny.
He just comes up with insane, hilarious things. You know the type, looks
at things in his life and just puts a strange spin on it and makes you see the
crazy things that come out of his zany imagination. He is funny because he
makes you see what he says. Most of the album is a series of one-liners. One
after another, after another, after another. But each are funny. He
is a true comedian, he does not have to curse or talk about bodily functions to
get a laugh. He just makes you laugh because what he says is funny.
If you are used to a high-powered up-beat comedian that will do anything to
get a laugh, you are not going to like this album. If you want a comedian
that will make you laugh because the of what he says, then you will love this.
End quote.

About Steven Wright
|
|
After
almost 25 years in the making, the most rumored comedy album is finally
hitting the streets! Steven Wright needs no introduction. As the elder
statesman of bizarre one liners, he has had a decades long career
creating the smartest, surrealist, oddball comedy out there, delivered
in his characteristic deadpan.
His first
album, I Have A Pony, was Grammy nominated when it was released
in 1985 and has sold almost a million copies. I Still Have A Pony
contains the best of 20+ years of new material and has already been
critically-acclaimed. Earlier in the year Comedy Central aired the
special on which this album is based (When The Leaves Blow Away)
to tremendous ratings.
Over the
years, Steven has collected a massive following, earning young fans as
well as keeping the old ones, selling out theaters nationwide. |
