Wow, what a great opening track.  I sat listening to every word thinking that this is going to be one great album.  However, the second track was disappointing. It seemed like Nikki Sixx was trying too hard to write a hit song here that he forgot the basics about having fun and letting yourself shine through on your songs.  The heart felt feeling of the first track was no where to be seen.

 

Thank goodness the third track "Life Is Beatiful" resumed some of the power in that original track.  Speaking of power, it is cranked way up for "Pray For Me" in the a pseudo-70's Iron Maiden mashing with 80's Metatallica sounding track.  It was really cool to listen to.

 

Not all of the songs are power melodies, but are good nonetheless.  The rest of the alum is mixed with some really good tracks, and some that slightly missed the mark.  But except for the second track (others may like like it), it is a really well written , performed and produced CD.
