Sometimes writing reviews can
be real hard. When an album is really bad, you cannot just rip on
the album, you need to think of constructively critical items to put
down on the page. It's not easy. However, there are those
times when you the album makes it easy for you to write, such as with
the Grammy Nominees 2008. You have 21 of today's (and
yesterday's) hottest stars. Yes, maybe I could argue that I would
like to have heard song "A" on the the album, instead of song "B," but
all-in-all, this is an excellent album.
The song selection, variety of musical genres and quality of the artiss
is phenomenal and many are sure to bring home the big award this year on
"Music's Big Night." I am glad to see that there are some great
young stars included such as Feist, and
some old-time (and personal) favorites such as
Paul McCartney and
U2. Then there is everything
in-between.
One great thing about an album like this is that the review does not
really have to be long to be positive. I am not going to review
each individual song -- you already know that they are great in their
respective categories, so I do not need to go and waste your time by
telling you that. So, go ahead, get the album, it is definitely
worth it. |
