Jamie Lynn
Spears was born on April 4th, 1991 in McComb, Mississippi to parents
Lynn Bridges (Woolemore) and Jamie Parnell Spears. Her older sister
is pop diva Britney Spears.
She also has an older brother, Bryan.

She moved
with her family to Kentwood, Louisiana when she was young (and still
lives there when not filming her TV shows). As a young child, Jamie
and her family did not have much money. [Note: she lived in New York
City for a few months when she was an infant so her sister could
pursue her career.]

Jamie Lynn
always looked up to her big sister Britney, and wanted to follow in
her footsteps. So besides going to school, being involved with
gymnastics and playing with friends, she began to do a little
singing as well. In 2000, sang in on an unreleased
Aaron Carter Christmas song.

Between
filming Zoey 101 and all her other activities, she attends Parklane
Academy, a private Christian school in McComb. In 2001 she won 1st
place at a gymnastics competition in Baton Rouge.

Her
exposure on television was in a Clorox commercial in 2001 and
appeared with two of her friends. However, her first real exposure
was when she went with her sister on the Oprah Winfrey Show
and sang to the audience. He movie debut came a year later in
Crossroads, in which she played the role of young Lucy. The
older Lucy was portrayed by her older sister, who looked like her
when she was Jamie’s age.

Her career
began to develop further in 2002 when she joined the cast of the hit
pre-teen variety show, All That. In 2003, she continued to
perform on All That, but also continued to explore her
musical outlets as well and recorded a remake of "Girls Just Wanna
Have Fun" with the group Triple Image. The song was a big hit with
the pre-thirteen crowd and hit #1 on the Disney Top 40 countdown.
For her acting in All That she was nominated for the Blimp
Award for Favorite Television Actress at the Kid's Choice Awards in
2004 and the cast of All That was nominated for the Young
Artist Award for
Outstanding Young Performers in a TV Series in 2005 [shared with
Chelsea Brummet, Ryan Coleman, Lisa Foiles. Christina Kirkman, Shane
Lyons, Giovonnie Samuels, Jack De Sena and Kyle Sullivan ]

In 2004 she
was given the chance to star in her own television show, Zoey 101
on Nickelodeon. The show highlights her talent and on-air charisma
and it has also been a big hit. She also sings the show’s theme
song "Follow Me" (which was written by her sister Britney).

Jamie
Lynn is going to be an aunt! Her sister
Britney Spears announced in
April 2005 that she is pregnant and is and husband Kevin Fenderline
are expecting their first child. Her nephew, Sean Preston, was born
on September 14, 2005.

In 2005
she starred in Zoey 101 which was one of the most watched
shows on Nickelodeon. She worked on the second season of the show
during the summer so she can go back home (to McComb, Mississippi) to
continue High School at Parkland Academy. [Note: the second season
has begun!]

The young
miss Spears is going to be an aunt again. Her sister, Britney,
is pregnant again and officially announced it on David Letterman
in May 2006.

The young
Spears is also an entrepreneur - she has announced a
clothing
line based on the fashions she wears on Joey 101 . The
clothing will begin to go on sale in the Fall of 2005 and will be
available exclusively at Mays.

In
September 2006, Jamie became an aunt for a second time, when her
sister gave birth to her second son.

pregnant by her 19 year old boyfriend
