Matthew Underwood was born on April 23,
1990 in Fort Pierce, Florida. [Fast Fact - he shares the same
birthday with William
Shakespeare]

At only six months, Matthew had already
won his first beauty contest, then began winning talent and other
contests around his hometown of Ft. Pierce, Florida. By the age of
two he was already doing runway modeling (for kid’s clothing) as
well as modeling for magazine ads. He was even a part of a dance
troupe called The Show Biz Kiz Dance Group. By the age of five, he
had already decided that he wanted to be in the entertainment
business for the rest of his life and began performing on stage and
appeared at local production, entering (and winning) talent contests
and was even in a production of The Wizard of Oz with the
Traveling Missoula Theatre.

Acting and modeling were not his only
talents, he also proved to do well in school as well, in fact, he
was enrolled in the highly respected Lincoln Park Academy.

He spent most of his youth doing lots
of modeling for TV and print ads, acting on and off television and
dancing professionally (including a stint with The Nutcracker
Ballet).

He got his big break in TV in 2005,
when he appeared as Logan Reese on Nickelodeon’s extremely popular
TV series, Zoey 101, which stars Britney’s kid sister
Jamie Lynn Spears. The
cast of Zoey 101 won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble
Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama).
