The N Premieres Sophomore Season of The Best Years (4/3)
April 1, 2009 THE N PREMIERES THE SOPHOMORE SEASON OF HOUR-LONG COLLEGE DRAMA THE BEST YEARS FRIDAY, APRIL 3 New Episodes to Premiere Friday Nights at 8:00 p.m. on The N Samantha Best is ready to give college another shot as The N premieres season two of the hour-long college drama, The Best Years on Friday, April 3, at 8:00 p.m. (ET). After a cross-country road trip and a disastrous fling in South America, Samantha is back at Charles University, surrounded by old friends, new faces, and one person she never expected to see again. The N will roll out eight new episodes of the series on Friday nights at 8:00 p.m. (ET). Season two chronicles Sam’s exhilaration and trepidations of college life as she tries to juggle academics, friendships and new relationships. The season two premiere, “Dangerous Liaisons,” picks up from the finale of season one’s cliffhanger where Charles University (CU) freshman, Samantha Best (Charity Shea, Alpha Dog) leaves on a road trip heading west to Los Angeles. But instead of driving cross country, the tenacious undergrad opts for a different kind of adventure –backpacking through South America with a final stop in Panama. To make ends meet, the feisty undergrad accepts a job mopping floors at a rundown bar in Panama where she befriends the enigmatic but gorgeous, Rich (Tommy Lioutas) who against Sam’s better judgment becomes to intoxicating to resist. But just when she thinks she has met ‘the one,’ he disappears. Dejected but toughened by the experience, Sam returns to Boston and CU to her friends and her aunt Dorothy ready and determined to make a fresh new start. Dorothy offers her a deal -- she'll pay for Sam's tuition, but only if Sam keeps an eye on Alicia (Lauren Collins, Degrassi: The Next Generation), but is rooming with her rebellious cousin more trouble than its worth? When Sam discovers that Rich also attends Charles University, she realizes she’s got a very long year ahead of her.
