Submission of Movie Reviews
and Previews
So, you want to write review movies and have thousands of people read them?
We are accepting previews and reviews of current, upcoming, and past movies.
What kind of qualifications do you need? You just need to be able to write
legibly and coherently, love movies and follow the rules and guidelines in the
contributor agreement listed below. So, what's in it for you? You will get
the recognition of writing for a popular entertainment website. Your name
will be listed with every review. After we have posted 10 reviews you have
written, your name and short biography will be listed on the Contributor page.
After 50 reviews are posted, we will provide you with your own page where you
can add a full biography, your favorite movies, words of wisdom, and even a
picture of yourself.
How do you get started? First, make sure the movie is not
already listed on our movie review page. Second, write
your review (making sure it meets the guidelines below). Third, submit your
review to PopStarsPlus@aol.com.
Contributor Agreement
The Legal Stuff:
- This is an agreement between the Contributor and Pop Stars Plus.
- The information provided to the Pop Stars Plus website shall be known as
the "Submission."
- The Contributor is an independent contractor and is not an employee,
affiliate or an agent of Pop Star Plus, Gift Ideas Plus, The Plus Network or
any of their subsidiaries and affiliates.
- All Submissions will be original works and belong to the person who is
doing the submitting. The contributor will be responsible for any damages or
legal issues arising from infringement of the copyright of another's work.
[i.e.: Don't copy anyone else's stuff]
- The Contributor will hold the copyright of each Submission - however,
Pop Stars Plus has the exclusive license to use the submission in relation
to the PopStarsPlus.com website. This includes reprinting of the
Submission for any reason, using the Submission in whole or part for
marketing purposes, posting the Submission on any page of the Pop Stars Plus
website or for any other reasonable usage in connection to the Pop Stars
Plus website.
- Pop Stars Plus has the right to edit the Submission in any manner it
seems fit without notification to the Contributor.
- Pop Stars Plus has the right to refuse any Submission for any reason
- Pop Stars Plus can add, remove or replace the posted Submission for an
reason
- At any time, the Contributor may request via email that their Submission
be taken off the website. Pop Stars Plus will make every effort to
remove the Submission within 30 days of such request.
- This agreement may be changed at future times. The date of the last
update will be posted on this page.
Submission Guidelines:
- The Submission must be your own work and not published anywhere else
- The Submission must include the following information:
- Complete title of the movie
- Plot of the movie
- Review of the movie and movie rating/score
- The score will be from 0 to 4 based on the following criteria:
- A score of 4
- Older Movies - This is a movie that no DVD/VHS movie
collection should be without - and you will probably watch
it again and again
- Previews/New Movies - This is a must see movie that you
are sure to see again and again
- A score of 3
- Older Movies - This would make a good, solid addition to
a DVD/VHS collection - and you will probably watch the movie
a few times
- Previews/New Movies - You enjoyed the movie and would
highly recommend others to see it
- A score of 2
- Older Movies - An okay movie. Recommended for a
DVD/VHS collection, but not a necessity. Maybe watch
it on a rainy day.
- Previews/New Movies - The movie was entertaining -
nothing great, but not bad either. If you did not see
it in the movies, you would not have been missing anything
- A score of 1
- Older Movies - The movie is not very good, but it has
some redeeming qualities. You wouldn't buy the DVD/VHS
for its full price, but might consider purchasing it if in
the $5 bin at Wal-Mart. Unless you need to complete a
collection, such as needing to buy Superman V, if you have
I-IV.
- Previews/New Movies - The movie was almost worth the
price of admission. It has some redeeming qualities,
but not many. Probably would not recommend the movie
to your friends.
- A score of 0
- Older Movies - The only way you would add the movie to
your VHS/DVD collection is if someone gave it to you as a
gift.
- Previews/New Movies - You almost asked the movie theater
to give you back the price of your admission.
- A list of the cast with name of actor and corresponding role.
- Director(s)
- Producer(s)
- Rating
- Length
- Production Company
- Year [of original release]
- Awards won or nominated for the movie
- Links related to the movie (e.g., official movie website, related
movie websites, sites relating to theme of movie, etc.)
- Movie trivia [Optional]
- Your name as you would like it to appear on the website. The name
may be your own or fictitious nom de plum (e.g., The Phantom Writer), however, the name
must not be indecent (e.g., Star F***er)
- Note: Use the Sample Page as a
reference.
- The Submission may be from a movie that has or will appear on the big
screen, on television, or as a video only release. The movie may be
current or one from years or decades ago, including silent pictures.
Independent and foreign films are welcome. We will not accept Submissions for any Adult
Only (i.e. X-Rated
and Porno) movies.
- The submission must be written in a manner befitting a serious review.
Swear/Curse words and graphic descriptions of sexual behavior will not be
allowed. Please spell check your Submission before sending it to us.
- The Submission shall be submitted via email to
PopStarsPlus@aol.com. The email must include the
information listed in #2 above.
- If ten of your prior Submissions have been POSTED, please send us a
brief biography of yourself (no more than 300 words) so we can add it to the
Contributor Page. Descriptions,
linking or referencing illegal or pornographic materials will not be
allowed. Pop Stars Plus reserves the right to edit your biography for
non-substantive matters. Changes other than grammar and spelling made by Pop
Stars Plus to the biography will be sent to Contributor for approval before
posting.
- A "posting" occurs when the submission has been loaded onto the
PopStarsPlus.com database and uploaded onto the internet to be made
intentionally available to the public. Uploading of the submission to
non-public internal or externals servers will not be considered a posting
for these purposes.
- A posting occurs when the submission is uploaded and made
available publicly, even if it is available for a short period of time.
The contributing author shall receive a credit for this posting, even if it
is subsequently replaced by another submission.
- If fifty of your prior Submissions have been POSTED, you will be able to
provide us information to add to a full
author webpage with information about you.
Details as to what can and cannot be added to this page is forthcoming.
Descriptions, pictures, linking or referencing illegal or pornographic
materials will not be allowed. Pop Stars Plus reserves the right to edit the
information on your page for non-substantive matters. Changes other than
grammar and spelling made by Pop Stars Plus to the personal page will be
sent to Contributor for approval before posting.
- This agreement cannot be modified by the Contributor or any third party
without the express written consent of Pop Stars Plus, Gift Ideas Plus, or
The Plus Network.
