Yes, you read the above correctly, this comic is only 25 cents. If you are new to comics, the zero issue of any comic series has traditionally become the marketing piece to sell the series. Those picking up the book expecting the TV show from the 80s will be very disappointed. This issue is by the team that will be working on the monthly book. Clocking in at 12 pages of story, this is a great bang for your money and worth picking up. Scott Beatty does a respectable job of giving the reader enough information to tease the upcoming series. The artwork is clear and gives you a good taste on what to expect from the series. Most will get value for their 25 cents and an enjoyable read.

Does this issue of Buck Rogers do a successful job of marketing the title? Yes.

Will I pick up the first issue? Probably not, only because the Sci-Fi, cosmic elements of this book are just not my cup of tea. I would recommend picking up this issue and sample the series for yourself.
