I really love this band.  Although still fairly new, The Spill Canvas have been together for six years already, with most of the band being together for the past four.  They are diverse enough to have that alternative sound, such as in their own "Lay It On Me," but also can pull off doing a classic rock diddy like "Gold Dust Woman" made famous by Fleetwood Mac on the multi-platinum Rumours album.

Although only an EP that is but five songs deep, it shows the diversity and strength of the band.  Lead singer Nick Thomas has the perfect voice for rock music and the rest of the band accompanies him to great delight of the listener.  For the EP, they even provided two of the songs sans the electric hammers and went acoustic.  Without the synthetic chords, you can see (or hear) how the Thomas and the other members just mold together to form what will be known as a great band.

What is more to say than this EP is fantastic and saddens me that it is not an LP-- I cannot wait for their next full album to be released.
