Do you like to move to the Latin beat? Then you will love Eliane Elias's latest album, Around the City.  For years she has taken Brazilian Jazz music to new heights, and this album is no exception.

You are treated to old classics like Tito Fuente's "Oye Como Va" (one of my all time favorites) or Jammin' which was based on Bob Marley's classic tune, to soon to be classics like "Running," the moving opening track on the album.  The album brings your senses into the nightlife of Rio de Janereiro or any other large city or small town in Brazil.  The album continues to bring your senses on a journey through south Latin jazz flavor, also don't miss the silky side of the album in "Segredos" parts 1 and 2.

This album is worthy of a place right beside your Manhattan Transfer albums.
